Pack Walk
Well structured group walking sessions for socialization
Available spots
Service Description
These walks are to encourage socialization, desensitization, leash manners, and even exercise - in a neutral environment with dogs and people. During the walk all dogs are to remain on leash and remain an appropriate distance from one another so everyone can have a confidence building experience. Dogs should be far enough away to prevent physically interacting but close enough to have positive experiences, this distance may differ from dog to dog. The goal of this group is to create a community where dog owners and dogs can come together to connect. These walks are open for dogs of all different breeds, sizes, ages, and temperaments. We welcome dogs who can walk well on leash and those who need a little help. This is not indented as play time for dogs. I want to have a safe environment for dogs who need to practice advancing their skills or behaviors around other dogs. Having a dog who is reactive or “troublesome” can feel isolating, I want this to be welcoming to those dogs. If you are new to the pack walk scene or have not had a one on one with me just yet, we will need to meet before you participate in the walk so we can assess your dog’s level and individual needs to insure a successful experience. Important Guidelines to follow: Dogs must remain on a physical leash (no retractable or long leads) One dog per adult. If you have two dogs, you’ll need to bring a friend No nose-to-nose for the pups & no butt sniffing for the pups Bring your own treats to reward successes Class is 4 weeks.
